In parallel with improved detection methods, a number of new techniques have been applied to significantly alleviate the "false positives" which have traditionally plagued the IDS. This semi-technical presentation will expose the audience to emerging technologies, the growing Intrusion Prevention market and some best practices in evaluating, selecting and deploying Intrusion Prevention Systems.
