Central Plains Chapter Meeting: "XDR: What It Is And How It Is Being Used By Customers Today", Scott Emer from Trend Micro Scott
Emer is an experienced IT Engineer with a vast background from LTE
wireless deployments, managing SMS Text Messaging networks, on
premise migrations to custom private cloud deployments, and
finally working as a Cyber Security Sales Engineer. Through these
roles he has worked directly on security issues, handled after
hours outages and felt the everyday engineering hurdles we go
through. The cyber security world has now given him a new ability
to help solve customer concerns that he once shared having to
secure his own servers, networks, endpoints and anything else in
the connected world.
Scott will be presenting on Extended Detection and Response (XDR)
According
to analyst firm Gartner, Extended Detection and Response (XDR) is
“a SaaS-based, vendor-specific, security threat detection
and incident response tool that natively integrates multiple
security products into a cohesive security operations system that
unifies all licensed components.”
