Speaker Bios:
Corey Elinburg
CTO Obsidian Security
Corey currently serves as advisor and CTO for Obsidian Security. Prior to that Corey was SVP and Chief Information Security Officer at Common Spirit Health, overseeing a cybersecurity and technology staff of 1,200 that serviced over 175,000 and 2,000+ care sites.
Corey is passionate about technology and how it can help the quality of life of all people. He is passionate about developing and implementing innovative solutions that improve business performance, reduce risk, and optimize value. His expertise crosses other realms as he is a CCIE, MCSE, Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) and CISSP. He also holds some technology patents to his name as well.
In 2023, Corey was recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine as one of the top 100 CISO's in the World.
In his spare time Corey lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and 4 children and has a collection of guitars and musical instruments that will impress any musical pro!
Ben Russell
Senior Security Architect @ Obsidian Security
Ben currently serves as Senior Security Architect for Obsidian Security. Prior to Obsidian, Ben was at Cybereason and CDW as a Consulting Engineer for Network Security. Through his extensive experience Ben has earned numerous certifications including CCNA (Routing/Switching/Security), CompTIA Security+ Certification and CCNP for Firepower. Ben also maintained a 4.0. GPA at Western Kentucky University and obtained a BA in Computer Information Technology.
Ben resides in Bowling Green Kentucky with his wife and child.
Taka Yamada
Taka currently serves as Regional Sales Director for Obsidian Security. Taka has spent the last 2 decades helping numerous start-ups scale to a successful exit. Most notable was Silver Peak where Taka spent 10 years before it was acquired by HPE Aruba.
Taka's passion is helping small technology start-ups develop their direct and channel sales infrastructure to success. Taka loves to meet new people and learn from their personalities and modes of communication. He believes strongly in the concept of IKIGAI, where you search for why you wake up in the morning and what do you yearn to do.
He loves to play the guitar in his free time and sets a goal to take 10,000 steps/day. Taka resides in Atlanta with his wife and 2 children.
