Central Plains Chapter Meeting:
"Securing the Cloud, whether Public/Private/Hybrid", Phil Gill, Check Point
Philip Gill brings more than 16 years of technology, sales, management and leadership experience to his position as an Enterprise Security Engineer with
Check Point Software. In his current role, Phil advises his clients on current security trends, best practices, and how Check Point Software solutions can
help them in the greatest way possible.
Prior to joining Check Point Software, Phil worked for over twelve years at FishNet Security in Kansas City. During this time he held a variety of roles,
most recently as the Director of Security Operations. In this role, he was responsible for the teams that supported and provided MSS for hundreds of clients
around the world on a daily basis. Prior to FishNet, he was a network administrator for the Kansas Department of Revenue in Topeka, Kansas.
Phil earned his bachelor's degree in Management from Kansas State University, and holds various IT and IT Security related certifications.
Phil will be presenting on Securing the Cloud
Process efficiencies and increased network agility are driving IaaS and SDN technology adoption at a rapid pace. But this new infrastructure is also
presenting businesses with a unique set of security challenges. We will discuss protecting assets in the cloud from the most sophisticated threats with
dynamic scalability, intelligent provisioning and consistent control across physical and virtual networks, ensuring you can embrace the cloud with confidence.
