Central Plains Chapter Meeting:
"Threat Hunt Tour", Eric Foster
Eric Foster serves as President of CYDERES - "Cyber Defense & Response" a security-as-a-service Fishtech venture that delivers managed detection and response
across both on-prem and cloud. Foster has served time on all sides of the table as part of a 24-year career in security. Highlights include CISO and later
Chief Technology Architect for UMB Financial, CISO for Netsmart, COO at AOS, and Head of Customer Success for RiskIQ. Other startup experience includes
MMAjunkie.com (founder, sold to USA Today) and eScout.com (sold to PerfectCommerce). Advisory experience includes Archer Technologies (sold to RSA),
Positive Networks (sold to Microsoft), Onspring.com (active), and before joining Fishtech full time, the Fishtech Advisory Board. Foster holds CISSP and
CCSP certifications. When not hunting threats or detonating malware (mostly intentionally), you'll find Eric spending time outdoors with his wife, daughter
and son.

Fishtech will be bringing their popular nationwide Threat Hunt Tour (ThreatHuntTour.com) to the ISSA
chapter meeting on 12/06. This will be a hands-on workshop with proactive strategies for hunting threats led by Fishtech Venture's CYDERES - Cyber Defense and
Response. In addition to a hands on threat hunting workshop, attendees will get a discussion on recommended free / open source / low cost solutions to power
automated security outcomes, premium / trial subscription of several recommended threat hunting tools (including VirusTotal Enterprise and RiskIQ) and will
receive a link to a personal interactive AI-driven threat hunting environment powered by Google's Backstory solution -- as well as catered lunch, swag package
and the opportunity to build connection with industry peers.
