Central Plains Chapter Meeting: “Current Market Trends Around Security Automation”, Bryon Page from Swimlane Presentation Description: Gartner says 69% of Boards of Directors accelerated their digital business initiatives following COVID-19 disruption. This has made organizations shorten the time to integrate technologies, reduce the effort it takes to update them, and reduce development costs. We will discuss the automation journey, current market trends around security automation, and where we are seeing where most organizations hit the “automation wall”. Speaker bio: Bryon is a seasoned security engineer with global experience in digital transformation projects, providing a consultative approach in solution design as well as assisting with business-critical projects for advanced orchestration / automation workflows, network security and overall application security. Solution design for cyber security operations often includes products and services around endpoint security, IDS/IPS, Data Loss Prevention, encryption solutions, proxy, malware analysis and sandboxing, EDR, CASB and SIEM. In addition, Bryon’s Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science allows him to lead a variety of projects covering a wide scope of coding and application requirements including Python, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Objective C.
