"Security Trends 2012", Mike Mahurin, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CPP
Mike Mahurin is the Global Computing Security Architect at Spirit AeroSystems where he is responsible for the enterprise's information security
architecture. This includes the design of security solutions, risk management, development of security strategies, physical security convergence,
and provides technical leadership for the Global Computing Security Team.
Prior to this position, Mike was a Sr. Security Architect at Koch Business Solutions where he developed security solutions for the global enterprise
with a focus in designing solutions for Koch Companies in the financial services, refining, pipeline, chemical, refining manufacturing, and
fertilizer market verticals.
Mike has 11 years experience in Information Technology with a heavy focus in information security. Roles have included IT governance, auditing,
assessment, network engineering, security engineering, and IT management in organizations ranging from small organizations to large, multinational
organizations.
In addition to his normal work duties, Mike volunteers as a member of the Technology Review Board at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas to help
develop IT strategies to further their mission in the community.
Mike will be presenting on Security Trends
Security is undergoing a fundamental change due to changing technologies, evolving threats, and the role of security in the enterprise is changing.
This presentation will look at the impact of cloud computing, consumerization of IT, and device mobility on the technical environment. How threats
are evolving from being professional to being industrialized for profit and technology advancement has render many defenses obsolete. Finally, we
will look at how businesses attitude about security is changing from the security guard mentality to a business partner will affect all of these areas.

publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the
knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. We hope the ISSA
