Central Plains Chapter Meeting:

"Leveraging External Signal for Attack Surface Intelligence & Threat Hunting", Will Baxter

Speaker Bio: Will began his career serving in the US Marine Corps as an Aerial Navigator on KC-130 aircraft and later as a Marine Security Guard stationed at the American Embassy in Damascus, Syria.
After his first enlistment, he was asked to assist in creating Diplomatic Security's Technical Operations Group tasked with remotely monitoring the embassies and posts overseas.

Later, he was invited to join US-CERT (Now CISA) as an Incident Handler, Senior Watch Officer, and later a Network Security Analyst where he developed signatures for tracking nation-state intrusion sets.

After 10 years in government and military roles, Will moved into the private sector and continued his role as a Senior Security Analyst and Engineer developing and deploying security monitoring and detection controls and capabilities as part of the creation of a global Security Operations Center for one of the largest private companies in the U.S. (Koch Industries).

After 5 years of building and maturing the SOC, Will moved into a role as an Enterprise Security Architect consulting and advising on global projects, integrations, and business risk. Most recently, Will developed IT Shared Services capabilities for a non-profit network of organizations as their CIO, CTO, and CISO. Will joined Team Cymru in April of 2022.
