Central Plains Chapter Meeting:

"Hacker Hardware Tools Show and Tell", Jonathan Kimmitt

Presentation: Hacker hardware tools are devices that are specifically designed to assist individuals in gaining unauthorized access to computer systems or networks.
Tools such as USB key loggers, skimmers, and RFID cloners can be used to capture information, exploit vulnerabilities in software or hardware, circumvent security measures, or gain physical access to restricted areas.
Physical pentesting tools, on the other hand, are designed to test the physical security of an organization by attempting to gain entry to secured areas using tools such as lockpicks, bump keys, and shim picks. While these tools can be used for nefarious purposes, they can also be used by security professionals to identify weaknesses in a system's physical security measures.
In this presentation, we will explore some of the most common hacker hardware tools used for gaining access to an organization, as well as the physical pentesting tools and lockpicking techniques used to test an organization's physical security. We will discuss how they are used, how we use them for legitimate purposes, and how to defend against them.
