"CBK Domain 2: Application Security", Ron Shuck, CISSP, CISM, CISA

Ron Shuck is the Global Computing Security Manager at Spirit AeroSystems. Ron has over 28 years experience working with enterprise networking and UNIX based systems with an emphasis over the last 11 years in information security. His current responsibilities include management of Spirit's Global Computing Security Team. This team provides enterprise architecture, design and security services for Spirit AeroSystems, such as firewall, intrusion prevention, anti-virus, identity and access management, and disaster recovery initiatives.


Ron will be presenting on Application Security

    The Central Plains Chapter of ISSA is committed to improving Information Security in our community. In this effort, we have begun roundtable discussions surrounding the ISC2 Common Body of Knowledge Domains. This presentation is a continuation of that series, and will be focusing on Domain 2. This will be an open forum discussion covering the key elements of Application Security.

    The topics of this presentation include:
    • Databases and Data Warehousing.
    • Data / Information Storage.
    • Knowledge-based Systems.
    • System Development Controls.
    • Malicious Code.
    • Methods of Attack and Attackers.

 

 

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit international organization of information security professionals and practitioners.  It provides education forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. We hope the ISSA will provide a chance to interface with other IT professionals and further your awareness of security practices and technologies.
