Central Plains Chapter Meeting:
"DHS Cybersecurity Presentation", Geoff Jenista / Chuck Clanahan
Geoff Jenista serves as the Regional Cyber Security Advisor for Region VII (IA, KS, MO and NE) for the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA),
Integrated Operations Division. Based in Kansas City, KS, he supports the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) mission of strengthening the security and
resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure.
Geoff will be presenting on Cybersecurity Risk Management
Cyber threats constantly evolve with increasing intensity and complexity. The ability to achieve mission objectives and deliver business functions is increasingly
reliant on information systems and the Internet. Organizations will face a host of cyber threats, some with severe impacts that will require security measures
that go beyond compliance. The DHS presentation provides key questions to guide leadership discussions about cybersecurity risk management for your
agency/company, along with key cyber risk management concepts and available DHS resources.
Chuck will be presenting on Protective Security Advisor Program
Since its inception in 2004, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Protective Security Advisor
(PSA) Program has been at the forefront of DHS efforts to protect critical infrastructure in the United States. PSA Chuck Clanahan (Kansas District) will discuss
the key elements of the PSA program and resources; to include physical security assessments, exercises, training and information sharing.
