Central Plains Chapter Meeting:

"Blaster Worm Response – How to Protect Your Network Against the Next Internet Disaster"

Some reports say that the elimination of the MSBlaster worm cost
$5 billion in lost productivity and expense - however, the real problem lies in what’s coming next. Worms, Trojans, viruses and hacking techniques continue to increase in hostility and damaging effects.

Join us for this informative seminar presented by Mike Stute, Chief Technology Officer of Global DataGuard and one of the founders of Behavioral Analysis of Network Traffic. Mr. Stute battled the new worm during its first few hours of penetration and he stopped it in its tracks. Let him share his insights and views on how to be prepared for the next one.

Highlights of the presentation include:

·  Dissecting Slammer, SoBig, Blaster, Nachi and other menaces

·  Global Internet Troubles – When will the next disaster strike?

·  Layered Security – How many layers are enough?

·  Intrusion Prevention vs. Intrusion Detection

·  Beware of the "One Per Centers"
