Central Plains Chapter Meeting:

"Important Discussion Regarding Annual Chapter Elections", Ron Shuck, CISSP

It is that time of year again for ISSA Central Plains Chapter Elections. We will be going through an update on the Chapter the chapter election processes for nominations and elections.

"Selling Security to Management", Damon Martin, CISSP

As a security professional, designing and development of secure solutions for protecting our companies assets is based on a proven and repeatable approach. We know, based on best practices, how to use multiple layers of security controls, policies and procedures to keep our companies safe.
The ongoing struggle in many companies is the battle to get management approval to implement our security recommendations.

Damon will be presenting "Selling Security to Management":

The objective of this briefing is to have an open discussion about these topics and allow us to learn from each others experiences. Every business decision is slightly different. The presence of an open dialog in the security community about successes and failure to win project support can help us all.

    You will learn:
    • Explaining the need for security in "Management Speak"
    • Understanding the importance of TCO, ROI and the financial impacts of a security project
    • Shedding the "Paranoid Security Guy" image
    • Strategies for getting management to want security
