"Risk Management", Ron Shuck, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CPP

 

Ron Shuck is the Global Computing Security Manager at Spirit AeroSystems. Ron has over 25 years experience working with enterprise networking and UNIX based systems with an emphasis in information security. His current responsibilities include Enterprise Security Architecture and Design, Information Security and Disaster Recovery initiatives. Ron also participates in the security community as founding and current president of the Central Plains Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).


Ron will be presenting on Risk Management

    An effective risk management process is an important component of a successful IT security program. The principal goal of an organization's risk management process should be to protect the organization and its ability to perform their mission, not just its IT assets. Therefore, the risk management process should not be treated primarily as a technical function carried out by the IT experts who operate and manage the IT system, but as an essential management function of the organization.
